The owners fell in love with this spectacular waterfront homesite with wide open views of Boca Ciega Bay, but the home did not meet their needs. The design intent was to transform a 2800 sf single story ranch into a 5000 sf two story Mediterranean villa with emphasis on the views and outdoor waterfront living. The process required two completely separate projects to meet FEMA requirements as well as many design sessions with the owners to bring their vision to reality. The first project included expanding the front formal areas of the home and adding a second floor guest suite and entertainment space. The second project includes a complete remodel of the first floor space, adding a garage and expanding the second floor with flex space and large rear balcony.
