Snell Isle House

St. Petersburg, FL

The new owners of a wonderful Mediterranean home on Snell Isle in St. Pete desired a more contemporary interior than the traditional existing home offered. The new design intent was to combine the kitchen, living and family rooms into a great room plan with better views to the waterfront. This was accomplished by removing walls, dropped ceilings and increasing window heights from floor to ceiling. A new kitchen was designed with a large island for preparing meals and seating for friends and family. An additional nook was re-designed with an "L" shaped banquette and large table for in kitchen dining. Better access to a pantry room was achieved through a hidden door disguised as a cabinet panel. A wine storage room off the dining was removed and replaced with a built in buffet. The master bathroom finishes and fixtures were also updated to a more contemporary aesthetic.
